Friday Morning Fun

Friday, July 21 @ 10:30 A.M. - Amazing Bubbles!

Making bubbles is both lots of fun and educational!  This entertaining demonstration reveals the science behind bubbles while using the  scientific method.  What are bubbles made of?  What shapes do they come in?  And best of all, have you ever been inside a bubble?  Would you like to be?  Presented by the Edgerton Explorit Center.


Signing Time Lapsit in June & July

  • Wednesdays at 10am 

For infants through age two with a caregiver, this program is a fun way to begin library visits and literary experiences. Come learn beginning sing language, songs and baby games while listening to stories and meeting other families with young children.

No registration is necessary.  Please drop in!

Signing Time Storytime in June & July

  • Wednesdays at 10:30am

For children age three through grade two, this fun class helps build vocabulary while teaching basic sign language through stories and songs.

No registration is necessary.  Please drop in!

Golden Sower Book Club

For ages 8-12 - Meets on the last Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m.  Their reading selections come from titles nominated for the Golden Sower Award, Nebraska's Children's Choice Literary Award.

Needles, Hooks and Books

For needle crafters of all ages.  An informal time to work on a project, share info & skills, talk about books and meet others interest in needle arts.  This group meets every other Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.   Newcomers always welcome!

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a Library program that encourages all families to read at least 1,000 books with their young children before they enter Kindergarten. Reading to preschool-age children builds vocabulary, language skills, and helps prepare them with the skills they need for Kindergarten. Preschool-age children, birth-5 years old, can participate and will receive reading rewards at the Library for every 100 books read to them. Come sign up your child today!
