TaHaZouka Park Improvements

TaHaZouka Park was connected to the City's main water system in July 2008.  Only the Elkhorn and Woodland Cabin's water remains on the existing well water system.  A new water line was bored under Highway 81 to connect TaHa's pump house to the City's water main in front of Cubbys Truck Stop.

We have continued to improve our recreational facilities throughout the winter season, working through the frost, ice and snow.  We think you will be impressed with the changes and additions we have made at TaHaZouka Park.

Major upgrades have been made to the TaHaZouka Park.  The Youth Balfield Complex project is now completed.  Concrete walkways and bleacher pads have been poured.  The bleachers (both baseball and softball) all have shade structures over them. A playground has been installed with a shade structure over it.  A colored, crumb rubber poured-in-place safety surfacing has been installed on the concrete pad under the play equipment which will be a first for our park system.

Another new playsystem has been installed near the main entrance to TaHaZouka Park.  It is installed on a concrete pad and with a colored, crumb rubber poured-in-place safety surfacing that was installed on April 27th.  All the benches have been added. The Infinity Web play structure was added to the playground on April 17th.  This is the first of its kind in Nebraska. This playground has been opened to the public and has been well received and proving to be a very popular place already. The last piece that was installed on May 27, which finished off this playground project, is a NEOS 360 interactive, electronic game which is a first for Nebraska also.   A security light was added to the playground for added security.
