Miracle Skatepark
Location: 700 Blaine
Street
The new skatepark is now open for use from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00
p.m. daily. It is located at 901 Blaine Street, just across the
street from Memorial Pool and is seeing a good bit of action. It is
open for skateboards, in-line skates and BMX bikes. This is a "use
at your own risk" facility and it is unsupervised but we ask that
all patrons follow the
posted rules. There is no fee to use the skatepark. Water, a
restroom facility, bleachers, parking, lights, a pay phone and a
lockable skateboard rack are available at this location.
SKATEPARK UPDATE 05/18/09
The Skatepark opened for regular
business at 7:30 a.m. on May 18 after extensive support framing and miscellaneous repairs.
We will maintain posted hours and will reserve the right to close
the park for repairs, acts of vandalism or disregard for posted
rules. We apologize for any inconvenience the protracted
closing has caused.
It is now required that all participants wear helmets upon
entering the facility. Anyone not wearing a helmet will be
asked to leave. The City reserves the right to suspend use
privileges of the offender if it feels it is warranted and reserves
the right to close the facility if compliance is not met. The
Police, by City ordinance, have the right to issue tickets for
non-compliance as well. The new rules are being posted and the
City asks for your cooperation in helping us keep the skatepark
open.
