Pool Season Over - Liberty Bell Pool and the Central Park wading pools closed Sunday, August 14th for the season.

SKATEPARK CLOSED, TEMPORARILY!!     Because of ongoing construction in the area contractors have closed access to the skatepark as of Thursday, August 4th.  The skatepark will stay closed until they are done working in the immediate area. An opening date will be posted here when that date becomes available.  Sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.

CAMPGROUND CLOSED FOR SEASON        The campground is closed until approximately April 16, 2012.  Most of the renovations we have been working on are complete. The new bathroom/shower building has been built, thirteen new concrete pads have been poured (one is ADA),  the new electrical system and power pedestals have been installed (20/30/50 amp at each pad) and the seeding and landscaping has been completed. The dump station just outside the west end of the campground will remain available for use during this period though.  We are working to bring in WiFi service into the campground prior to opening also.

Tree City USA - The City of Norfolk was a recipient of Tree City USA status at an awards ceremony held in Lincoln on April 13.   picture

Cowboy Trail News - Approximately 72 miles of trail from Norfolk to O'Neill that were closed when the Elkhorn River flooded has re-opened, including an alternate route around three areas still closed because of damage.

The City of Norfolk has implemented a new Citizen Request management system. Click on "Citizen Request" under Quick Links to inform the Parks Division of a problem or make a suggestion or request.

Free Wireless Internet - the City is offering this free service to patrons using the City Auditorium and the Memorial Field athletic complex.
