Programs This Week: April 14-19

Happy National Library Week!  Come celebrate with us!  The winners of our poetry contest are on display all week in the center of the library.

Sack Lunch and a Classic Movie - Tuesday, 12pm— - Bring your own lunch and enjoy a screening of Hitchcock's classic "Rear Window" starring Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly.

Movies @ the Library - Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. - This week's feature is  "The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice" starring Noah Wylie and Boby Newart.  (Not Rated)

 

 

Lapsit - Wednesday and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. -   For infants up through age 2 and their caregiver.  A fun way to begin library visits and literary experiences. Learn new rhymes, songs and baby games, listen to stories and meet other children & caregivers.

Storytime - Thursday at 1:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. - For children age 3 - grade 2 (parents are welcome, too!).  A fun combination of literature experiences - books, songs, Spanish languages experiences, poems, puppets and more!

Scavenger Hunt for All Ages - Thursday, all day - The young and the young at heart are invited to participate in a fun, self-paced scavenger hunt.  Top prize is a $25 gift card to Hastings!

Altered Book Origami - Friday at 1:30 p.m. - Make beautiful paper flowers out of recycled book pages at this creative class led by Wanetta Walker.  For adults and children who are accompanied by an adult.  Bring a glue gun if you have one!

Needles, Hooks & Books - Saturday at 2:30 p.m. - for needle crafters of all ages - Join us in this informal program to work on a project, share skills, talk about books and meet others interested in needle arts.
