Author and Poet Barbara Schmitz -
Monday, May 20 @ 6:30 - Schmitz will
read a brief selection from
her
new spiritual memoir, Path of
Lightning: A Seeker's Jagged Journey
and will follow it with a discussion of the
book's creation, the writing process, spiritual
practice, meditation and any other topics of
interest. Schmitz's has published several
poetry books, including the full-length poetry
book, How Much Our Dancing Has
Improved, which won the 2005
Nebraska Center for the Book Award. Book
sales and signings will follow the program.
Spring Movies - Wednesday @ 2:30
- This week's movie is "Robot &
Frank" starring Frank Langella, James
Marsden, Liv Tyler and Susan Sarandon. Rated PG-13.
Signing Lapsit - Wednesday @ 10 and Saturday @
10 - For
infants - age 2 and their caregiver. A fun way
to begin library visits! No registration is
necessary.
Signing Storytime - Saturday @ 10:30 - For children age 3 - grade 2.
No registration is necessary.

be here before you know it! The
Norfolk Public Library's Annual Literature
Festival is a great way to spend a summer day
for literature lovers of all ages. This year's
festival is on July 27 and will feature authors
Jodi Moore, Caroline Rose and Carl Deuker.

presented by Don Hickey - June 4 at 6:30 p.m.
- Hickey describes the War of 1812 and how the
British assault on Fort McHenry produced these
great symbols, as well as how Francis Scott Key
came to write the song and how it became our
national anthem.
Beatlemania:
The Impact of the Beatles presented by Randall
Snyder - June 11 at 6:30 p.m. -
Composer Randall Snyder will discuss the
astonishing impact the Beatles have exerted on
music since the 1960s.
