Programs This Week: July 21 - 26

Monday at 4:00pm - Golden Sower Book Club - For ages 8-12 - This month's book is Three Times Lucky by Sheila Turnage who will be at the Literature Festival on Saturday!

Wednesday at 10am - Signing Lapsit - for babies up through age 2 - Signing Lapsit uses American Sign Language to bond with children through songs, stories and vocabulary activities.  Presented by Megan McWilliams, Certified Advanced Signing Time instructor.

Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. - Kids Movie Matinee - This week's feature is  "The Jungle Book."  (G)  Kids under 7 need to be accompanied by an adult and no adults admitted without children.


Wednesday at 6:30pm - Nebraska Spirit: The North Platte Canteen - Humanities Nebraska speaker Charlotte Endorf will tell us all about the railroad depot that became a legend and touched the lives of more than 6 million soldiers.

Saturday at 8:30am - 4pm - 20th Annual Literature Festival - Join us for a day full of writer's workshops, book previews and author presentations.  This year, advance ticket purchases include lunch.  See complete details here.

Saturday at 2:30pm - Needles, Hooks & Books - for needle crafters of all ages - This is an informal time to work on projects, talk about books, share skills and meet others interested in needle arts.  Newcomers always welcome!

Last year, there were over 148,000 visits to the library.  That means that an average of 47 people visit the library each hour that we're open.
