Library News

Voters approved the temporary half-cent sales tax increase to fund the library renovation and expansion.

  • Planning for the project will begin right away.  After final building plans are approved and the project is bid, it is anticipated that construction will begin in early 2016.

  • The library will remain open as much as possible during the construction process.  The new addition will be added first and library services will be moved into the new addition while the existing facility is renovated.  When that work is completed, the full facility will be opened for the public.

  • The collection of the additional half-cent of sales tax will begin in April 2015.
