The Kensington Ballroom is located on the second floor of
the Historic Kensington building at 108 North 4th Street,
Norfolk, NE.
Built in 1926, the Ballroom has hosted many dignitaries
including Thomas E. Dewey, John F. Kennedy, Jack Dempsey,
Duke Ellington and Ronald Reagan. Many people have memories
of dancing the night away in this ballroom, until it became
a business site in 2001. Early in 2009, the ballroom
underwent some renovation and reopened for functions.
Fundraisers, wedding receptions, showers, class reunions and
farewell parties are amongst the activities being held in
the ballroom. The ballroom can hold approximately 125-150
people, and provides tables, chairs and an area for food
preparation and storage. Setup and cleanup is required of
the leasee before and after the function. |
