The second fire station, 2920 W. Benjamin
Avenue, was dedicated June 7, 2004. This station
serves the western citizens of Norfolk
This station has 3 apparatus bays and
is manned by three fire fighters and the Fire Marshal.
The station, budgeted at $1,351,000, was designed to blend in to the
residential area and is a welcome addition to the area. It has 3 bedrooms,
a conference room, kitchen, day room, two offices and a
fitness center. The architect for the project was HGM
Associates Inc.
