replacing a water main on Madison Avenue from 1st Street to
On June 6, 2016 a construction contract was awarded to Robert Woehler & Sons
Construction, Inc. with a completion date of November 1, 2016.
On Monday, March
27, construction on the Madison Avenue
Waterline Replacement Project continues with boring near the
railroad. The contractor has elected to finish the waterline
installation between the railroad and 7th Street prior to beginning
work at 4th Street, so Madison Avenue just west of 7th Street will
remain closed for several weeks until construction is complete in
the area. No closures of 7th Street are expected as part of
this work. Waterline installation beginning at 4th Street and
moving west will begin at a later date.
All work on this
project is weather dependent and delays due to weather are possible.
