One and Six Year Street Improvement Plan
Safe and efficient
transportation over public roads is a matter of major importance to
all citizens. The Nebraska Department of Roads requires each
county and municipality to develop and file with the Board of Public
Roads Classifications and Standards a long-range, Six-Year Plan of
highway, road and street improvements based on priority of needs and
calculated to contribute to the orderly development of an integrated
statewide system of highways, roads and streets. This report
is due annually by March 1st.
Planning Commission approves the One and Six Year Street Improvement Plan
in January. Mayor and City Council
approve the One and Six Year Street Improvement Plan in February.
The Plan is due to the Nebraska Department of Roads by March 1st.
