Sec. 14-17.  Assault in the third degree.

 

(a)   A person commits the offense of assault in the third degree if he:

 

(1)       Intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causes bodily injury to another person; or

(2)       Threatens another in a menacing manner.

 

(b)   Assault in the third degree shall be an offense.
