Americans with Disabilities Act
The City of Norfolk places importance
on making services and programs accessible to its citizens. The
first policy resulting from Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of
1973 was approved on September 18, 1984. On August 16, 1993, the
City complied with the responsibilities under the Americans with
Disabilities Act of 1990. The modification of this existing policy
was adopted by the City of Norfolk on December 3, 2012
