The Mission of the City of Norfolk is to "provide
quality public services in an effective and efficient manner to enhance the common good
and quality of life including citizen involvement".
Industrial wastewater sampling services are provided to insure
proper billing calculations for each major industry. Sampling
frequencies are determined by city staff, and are dependant on waste
characteristics such as strength, consistency, and pre-treatment
capabilities. Billing statements are generated monthly for major
sewer users.
