Utility Breaks

The Street Division is responsible for removal of any hard surfacing on streets and alleys. Qualified plumbers or contractors then install new utilities or make repairs to existing facilities. After inspection the soil is replaced by city forces. Surfacing is also renewed by the Street Division. Charges for work completed are billed as per ordinance. Estimates for projects can be obtained from the Street Division prior to work commencement. Estimates are not required, but a permit to perform the work shall be obtained prior to the start of work.
